Chapter 501 - 477: For All Eternity
Chapter 501 - 477: For All Eternity
Upon hearing this, Sienna Thornton went to Auntie King’s room, took out a gift box, and opened it. She found the gift box to be much more luxurious than Simon Forrester had described. With a royal yellow exterior, the box was adorned with dragons and phoenixes symbolizing prosperity, along with a vibrant red character for double happiness. The box had five layers; the top held candies and wedding cakes, while the remaining layers were filled with a variety of rare and expensive delicacies.
When Sienna tried to ask Simon about the price of the gift box, he was busy in his room on a call, instructing Gavin Gale to send a business car from The Forresters the next day to help transport thirty gift boxes with them to Z City.
Having seen the gift box herself, Sienna realized that Simon’s SUV could not possibly fit thirty gift boxes. Yet when she mentioned it in the morning, Simon didn’t even bring up the difficulty of taking the boxes to Brimfield and agreed right away.
Watching Simon handle multiple wedding arrangements over the phone with Gavin and Harrison Rowe, she realized that everyone was busy with the wedding preparations while she was the least occupied.
On the wedding day, Old Master Forrester would take care of everything at the old mansion, and Sylvia Langley would handle the evening banquet and wedding. For the return banquet and greeting the Thorne Family friends and relatives, Quentin Thorne and Old Mrs. Thorne would manage.
Her makeup team was already organized by Maeve. The affairs of the bridesmaids were managed by Aurora and the others.
As for the honeymoon in Yorai after the wedding, Simon had booked the flights and hotels over a month ago, everything was planned ahead.
Sienna realized that apart from preparing the wedding invitations, she hadn’t been busy with anything else, but was already feeling agitated. Simon, having to prepare for so much, dealing with so many things, would still come over to help, coax her, and manage her family’s matters, yet his temper stayed as good as ever...
Sienna knew that Simon was actually a very impatient person and quick to anger, you could tell by the way he talked to the Forrester Family and his subordinates. But in the three years they had been together, he never lost his temper with her...
Once again, she felt deeply loved by this man. Filled with affection, when Simon hung up the phone, she went forward, gently wrapped her arms around his waist, and nuzzled her face against his back, softly saying, "Husband, you’re working so hard, I love you."
When she said this, Simon’s body noticeably tensed for a moment. After a while, he turned around and embraced her, softly brushing her shoulder, smiling as he said, "We haven’t even registered yet, and you’re changing my title so soon?"
"I don’t care. No matter what, you’re my husband. In this life, the next, and the one after that, forever and ever, you’re my husband."
Simon chuckled: "Who was it before that said she wouldn’t marry me in the next life, wanted to try with other men?"
"I was just trying to rile you up."
Simon laughed: "Oh? Too bad, I took it seriously. I’ve already reserved another girl for my next life."
Sienna: "..."
Someone got called husband once and became so pleased and inflated, probably already forgetting the unforgettable trial he had faced.
-
Sienna and Simon spent a night in Z City before returning to Brimfield, had a casual lunch outside, and then rushed back to Simon’s apartment to pick up the wedding dress and other essentials for the big day.
By the time they returned to Melinda Linton’s, it was already evening. There was only one day left before registering their marriage, two days before the wedding, and three days until the return banquet.
Everything was entering the final countdown, and Sienna’s emotions were slightly fluctuating with anxiety, she was particularly irritable these two days and a bit short-tempered.
.
On the thirteenth of February, a Sunday, it was also Sienna Thornton’s last day of being single.
Perhaps feeling that it was the last day she would hold the sole identity of being a "daughter," she felt the urge to have a meal with her parents, see a movie together, and then stroll around and buy them some things.
After today, her identity would no longer just be Melinda Linton and Quentin Thorne’s daughter, she would also be the Forrester Family’s granddaughter-in-law, Simon Forrester’s wife, and eventually the mother of their children, with responsibilities that would be quite different from now on.
Sienna was brushing her teeth in the bathroom, feeling a tiny bit of loss, and planning to tell Auntie King that no lunch or dinner was needed that day, and to ask Simon to go home after he woke up since the wedding was only two days away, he couldn’t keep staying at the bride’s place.
Suddenly, a piercing scream was heard, which sounded like Ian Grant.
Sienna thought she might have been imagining things because of pre-wedding anxiety, shook her head, rinsed her mouth, and prepared to wash her face.
But just as she spat out a mouthful of water, the scream reverberated once more, so sharp and real that she had no time to think. She put the cup down, quickly wiped her mouth, and ran out of the bathroom.
In the room, the bed sheets were tossed aside, Simon was nowhere to be seen, and the door was open. Her heart dropped as she rushed out.
At the boundary between the dining room and the living room, Ian, dressed in black, was holding a bag in one hand and pointing at something with the other, aggressively questioning, "Are you trying to drive me to death? Huh?!"
Sienna’s immediate reaction was that Ian was yelling at Melinda Linton. Her mind exploded, and running over with an iron-clad face, she pushed Ian aside with one hand.
Caught off guard, Ian stumbled backward two steps, and upon regaining her balance, saw that Sienna had already stepped in front of a pale Melinda Linton to protect her.
Sienna, with blood-red eyes glaring at her, spat angrily, "If you dare lay a finger on my mom today, don’t expect to leave this house! I mean it!"
Unprepared for this side of Sienna, Ian squinted, then laughed loudly: "Oh, you’ve come just in time! Let’s have a chat! I have nothing to say to your illiterate, cheap mom!"
Sienna, shocked and angered by her venomous words to the point of losing her balance, was supported in time by Simon, standing right behind her.
Simon took a step forward, shielding her and Melinda with a grim face, as he said to Ian, "Please, leave now. If you want to talk, let’s schedule a time! The way you’re carrying on now is illegal, we can call the police and file charges against you!"
With that, Ian immediately moved to the living room, lounging unapologetically on the sofa, throwing her bag on the table, and taunting with a venomous smile, "I’m not leaving today! Go ahead, call the police! File charges! I have all the time in the world, I’ll just wait it out with you! Let’s see if you’re still in the mood for a wedding!"
It seemed she timed her disruption perfectly, knowing that Simon and Sienna were too busy with their wedding preparations to afford this kind of disturbance, she came right before their big day on purpose.
Sienna quickly calmed herself.
She tugged at Simon’s hand to signal him not to speak and then gestured to Auntie King with her eyes: "Auntie, please take my mom back to her room."
Auntie King glanced at Ian warily and led Melinda away.
Simon then moved forward, guarding Sienna.
Sienna looked at Ian, with her thug-like demeanor, gritted her teeth and sat down opposite Ian.
She straightened her back, arms folded, her face cold as ice as she asked sharply, "What exactly do you want to talk about?"
