Chapter 629 - 600: Graceful Perfection
Chapter 629 - 600: Graceful Perfection
"Does this family have both parents and several children?" the older nanny asked.Gavin Gale had just finished talking on the phone with Simon Forrester, waiting for the villa gates to open. He gazed indifferently ahead and replied, "A family of three."
"Boy or girl?" the younger nanny picked up the conversation.
Gavin: "Boy."
Everyone understood.
The carved bronze hollow gate slowly moved to the sides, and Gavin drove the car in.
The three got out of the car, and the two nannies looked up at the villa’s exterior.
The dark gray villa stood amidst flaming red maple trees, with a vast starry sky and a bright full moon in the background—it was a spectacular and stylish scene.
Gavin signaled for them to follow him.
The three walked up the small steps in the garden to the villa’s front door. While waiting for the owner to open the door, through the nearby floor-to-ceiling window, they saw Simon Forrester playing with his son.
Simon Forrester also saw the people standing outside the door. Holding his child, he walked over to open the door, stepping aside and smiling, "Please come in." Then, he turned his head and called upstairs, "Candy, Gavin brought the nannies over."
"Hey... Okay."
Simon Forrester invited them in to sit, then turned towards the kitchen area.
The kitchen was open, situated right in front of the sofa area, separated by a sizeable counter.
The man wore a simple white V-neck T-shirt and loose gray cotton sweatpants, holding a chubby baby in one arm while working at the counter with the other.
After a short while, a pot of cherry blossom tea was ready. The pink tea was in a transparent borosilicate glass pot, paired with delicate pink cherry blossoms on the pot, looking quite beautiful and romantic.
Sienna Thornton trotted down the stairs.
She seemed to have just finished showering, with her long hair loosely hanging over one side of her body, dressed in the same white V-neck T-shirt and gray tight sweatpants as Simon Forrester.
If it weren’t for Gavin standing up and bowing respectfully to her, saying, "Good evening, Mrs. Forrester," the two nannies wouldn’t have imagined she was a mother who had just given birth three months ago.
Her figure was just too good. Despite wearing the most demanding white T-shirt and light gray tight pants that most women fear, her body remained beautifully perfect.
She first kindly greeted Gavin, "Gavin, I’m sorry to trouble you so late." Then she nodded and smiled at the two nannies.
She walked over to Simon Forrester and took the child from him. As soon as she held the child in her arms, she kissed the child’s cheek.
Simon Forrester stood by watching his wife and child, smiling with happiness.
Sienna Thornton sat on the sofa holding her child as Simon Forrester followed with the tea.
Simon Forrester invited everyone to drink tea, while Sienna Thornton, holding the child, briefly explained the family situation.
"My husband and I work on weekdays, leaving at around 8:30 AM and returning by around 6 PM. During the day, my mother will come over to help look after the child, but since she is old and not in the best health, she can only supervise, so we need a nanny to take care of the child during the day."
While Sienna Thornton spoke, Simon Forrester smiled at her, listening without interrupting, showing her complete respect and letting her speak freely.
Meanwhile, the child sensed that mom wasn’t playing with him and whimpered a little. Simon naturally leaned over, took the child, and played with him again, soon making the child laugh.
Victor laughed happily, looking at his dad the whole time, playing with the necklace around his dad’s neck with his chubby hands.
Sienna Thornton smiled at the two nannies, "Working hours are from 8 AM to 6 PM, ten hours. It’s a bit long, so regarding this, we’ll provide corresponding compensation for pay. We ourselves handle weekends and evenings, but there might be occasional overtime because our jobs might have unexpected events preventing us from returning home on time."
The two nannies nodded. The older one asked, "What’s the salary then?"
"Twenty thousand, with fourteen months of pay a year." Meaning a year-end bonus of forty thousand.
The two nannies were stunned, seemingly unable to believe what they had just heard.
Everyone had been in the nanny circle for many years, and the current industry salary was quite transparent. In first-tier cities, a senior nanny’s salary ranges from ten thousand to fifteen thousand a month, and this family offered directly twenty thousand.
What a generous couple.
Their previous stance was relatively calm, but hearing an annual salary of two hundred eighty thousand, they showed a competitive attitude.
The older, more experienced nanny immediately flattered with a smile, "Has the baby had a bath? If not, I can help give the baby a bath?"
The Forrester couple had just this intention, so they handed the child over to her.
The couple followed to watch, leaving the other nanny to wait a moment downstairs.
In the living room, only Gavin and her remained.
The two sat quietly for a moment, and she asked, "Is Mrs. Forrester also working at the Forrester Group?"
Gavin: "No."
"Then where does Mrs. Forrester work?"
"You’ll naturally know once you pass the second interview."
"Okay."
She nodded friendly at Gavin, waiting quietly.
After a while, Sienna Thornton came down alone. She smiled as she sat across from the nanny, "Let’s quickly have a chat so it won’t be too late for you to get home."
"Okay."
Sienna motioned to Gavin to hand over the resume.
She quickly flipped through a few pages, then looked up at her and suddenly asked in English, "Your TOEFL score is 110?"
The other party also responded in English, "Yes."
Sienna intentionally tested her spoken English by conversing in English, from professional child-rearing knowledge to personal insights on early childhood education.
To Sienna’s surprise, her spoken English was excellent, with language intuition and even some specialized academic vocabulary quite sufficient. If not for knowing she went to Canada for her master’s after undergraduate studies, Sienna would have thought she grew up in Canada.
After this probing, Sienna was somewhat inclined towards her. Meanwhile, the other nanny finished bathing the child, and Sienna asked the downstairs nanny to go up and help put the child to sleep.
In the master bedroom, all lights were turned off, leaving only a dim, warm floor lamp by the bedside.
Sienna took the child from Simon’s arms and handed him to the young nanny, then she and Simon quietly exited the room. However, just as they reached the door without closing it, the baby started crying loudly, gasping for breath.
Sienna couldn’t bear it, wanting to go in and comfort the baby, but Simon motioned for her to leave quickly, anyway, it was only twenty minutes.
Once the door closed, the child’s cries were still audible. Sienna was heartbroken, almost wanting to go in and scoop up the child several times.
Simon stopped her and gestured to his phone.
She suppressed that impulse and sat on the living room sofa outside the door with Simon, watching the room’s situation through a phone.
