Chapter 54 Red!
Chapter 54 Red!
"As for the second point..."
Seeing the increasingly dangerous look in Chiba Sena's eyes, Shirakawa Yuta immediately changed his mind: "I haven't thought about the second point yet. Let's talk about it when I do. I'm a little tired, I'm going to sleep now, bye!"
After saying that, he ran back to his bedroom. One should be content and never be too greedy!
Yuta Shirakawa didn't want to see someone standing in front of his bed with a knife in the middle of the night; if he pushed the other person too far, it wouldn't be a joke.
At night, Yuta Shirakawa sat by the window with nothing to do and began drawing storyboards for episode four.
Intermittent guitar playing came from next door; the song being played was "Renai Circulation," the one Shirakawa Yuta had given her.
Although it lacks the original version's electronic sound effects combined with the rhythm and percussion of various instruments such as brass, trumpet, and strings, the pure guitar version, paired with Chiba Sena's sweet voice, adds a unique feel to the song.
Both of them quietly went about their business until Shirakawa Yuta finished the last stroke and noticed the streetlights that had been turned off, only then realizing that it was already late at night.
Yuta Shirakawa got up and looked at the bright moon outside the window. Suddenly, he felt a sense of clarity in his heart. The resentment he had felt due to the time travel had long since vanished.
That's right, when Shirakawa Yuta first transmigrated, he was somewhat resentful.
Although he was an orphan in his previous life, he met a group of kind people during his growth, including the director of the orphanage, his teachers and classmates at school, community workers, and so on. With the help of national policies, although it was a bit tough, he was able to finish high school with relatively little difficulty.
Just as he was about to embark on a new chapter in his life, he suddenly found himself transported to a completely unfamiliar place, where earthquakes were frequent and he was threatened by volcanic eruptions every day.
In particular, he transmigrated into the body of a junior high school student. Even though the academic pressure here is not as intense as in China, you only realize how much academic pressure there is in Japan after experiencing it firsthand. Moreover, much of the content is outside of school and requires tutoring or self-study.
This caused him to lose his composure for a period of time after he first arrived in the world.
As for when his mindset changed, he didn't know.
Perhaps before the appearance of the cheat system, or perhaps after its appearance.
But Yuta Shirakawa prefers to believe that his change in mindset was due to the meticulous care from his parents and the interactions with his relatives and friends in this life, which allowed him to rediscover his true self.
……
The following afternoon, Shirakawa Yuta arrived at the entrance of the Morning Breeze Dojo right on time.
He raised an eyebrow at the tightly closed door. "Seriously, buddy? It's not open today?"
Then his trip would have been for nothing...
Just as he was hesitating whether to turn around and leave or send a message to Hoshino Tsukizuru first, Hoshino Tsukizuru's voice suddenly rang out from behind him.
"Why aren't you going in now that you're here?"
Yuta Shirakawa turned to look at Tsukigen Hoshino, his eyes lighting up.
The other person wasn't wearing a school uniform today. Instead, they were wearing a black top with a large pink logo paired with denim shorts. One corner of the top was tucked into the shorts, and a khaki belt was tied around their waist. Their long, snow-white legs were exposed without any attempt to hide them, so bright that even Shirakawa Yuta felt a little dazzled.
After giving a scathing critique, Shirakawa Yuta obediently looked away, shrugged, and said to Hoshino Tsukizuru, "It's closed, you can't get in."
Hoshino Tsukigen rolled her eyes. She had seen everything Shirakawa Yuta had done, but thankfully it wasn't too much, so she didn't bother to say anything.
He stepped forward first and walked towards the tightly closed door: "The Morning Breeze Dojo is not usually open to the public, so it is always closed. You need to knock on the door yourself."
Yuta Shirakawa followed leisurely behind, deliberately lagging two steps behind to better enjoy the scenery.
Hearing her words, he replied, "Since it's not open to the public, I couldn't have gotten in even if I had knocked just now."
Hoshino Tsukizuru's voice drifted from the front: "Do you think I didn't think of that? I already told the people here that you were coming back today, so knocking will let you in. And..."
Hoshino Tsukizuru suddenly turned around halfway through her sentence, glaring fiercely at Shirakawa Yuta, "If you dare to look again, I'll gouge your eyes out."
Yuta Shirakawa touched his nose awkwardly upon hearing this. He hadn't expected the other person to be so perceptive. He was being watched from behind and yet they noticed him. It was as if they had eyes in the back of their heads.
Hoshino Tsukigen knocked on the door, and after a short while, a middle-aged woman in her forties, wearing a kendo uniform, opened the door and came out.
She stood in front of Hoshino Tsukizuru and bowed slightly: "Miss Hoshino, you've arrived."
Hoshino Tsukizuru nodded and asked, "Is Hattori-sensei here now?"
The middle-aged woman nodded and replied, "Hattori 9-dan is here; he should be teaching inside right now."
Hoshino Tsukigen nodded slightly, gave Shirakawa Yuta a wink signaling him to follow, and then went inside.
As Shirakawa Yuta passed the middle-aged woman, he gave her a slight nod as a greeting, and then followed Hoshino Tsukizuru inside.
Upon entering, there was a large changing area. Fortunately, Shirakawa Yuta was prepared and quickly changed his clothes, then walked out from the other side of the changing room.
What comes into view is a huge training area.
Although there weren't many people on the field, the aura they exuded was far beyond what the small kendo club at Mingde Private School could match.
His every move was well-organized, and his fighting stances were extremely standard. At least from his perspective as a fourth-dan swordsman, he couldn't find any problems.
Just as Shirakawa Yuta was enjoying the battle between the players, he suddenly felt a sharp gaze directed at him.
Following the gaze, Shirakawa Yuta saw an elderly man with gray hair standing in the center of the training ground, dressed in a dark blue kendo uniform, openly scrutinizing him. Although old, the man's posture was still upright, and his imposing aura was undiminished, like a time-honored sword, heavy yet sharp.
Looking down, Shirakawa Yuta's pupils suddenly contracted, and an extremely dazzling red light was hanging on the other's waist.
I squinted slightly before I could see that it was a simple wooden knife.
Just then, Hoshino Tsukigen, having changed his clothes, came out and stood next to Shirakawa Yuta, interrupting his shock: "Hattori 9-dan, who reached the finals of the National Kendo Tournament for seven consecutive years and won first place three times, is one of the current representatives of Ittō-ryū, and is also my teacher—Hattori Ryosuke."
Yuta Shirakawa nodded slightly, took a deep breath, and indicated that he understood.
Although he had a vague idea of the old man's identity, he did not expect that the old man's credentials would be so impressive.
Seven consecutive finals, three first place finishes, wow, this old man is ruthless. No wonder his wooden sword is red.
